Hello
The Story behind Compass (for the women who find themselves here...)
Compass Women’s Wellbeing wasn’t created from theory. It was built from lived experience and ongoing recovery... that's why I understand this work
My Story
Since 2019, life was shaped by a series of serious health challenges. Since then I’ve undergone 14 general anaesthetics for Endometriosis and other health issues, navigated Epstein-Barr virus / mononucleosis, have seven different autoimmune diagnoses including Arthritis and Connective Tissue Disorder, have been through multiple rounds of IVF, and faced cancer, resulting in two lumpectomies. I’ve also experienced both Chemical and then a Surgical Menopause due to a Bilateral Oophorectomy
At times, I was completely depleted, physically and emotionally. And like many women, I found myself searching for answers that went beyond surface-level care. But my journey into this work actually began much earlier
In 2008, I trained as a holistic therapist, building a solid foundation in anatomy and physiology with a special interest in the Lymphatic System, however, it wasn’t until I had to support my own body through recovery that everything truly came into focus. What I had learned became something I had to live. Through simple, consistent techniques, I began to understand just how powerful the body is when it’s properly supported - and how crucial the immune and nervous system are in the healing process. That experience didn’t just shape my work… it changed everything about how I understand health, recovery, and what the body really needs. It wasn’t just about treatment anymore - it was about understanding the body as a whole, how it responds to stress, illness, hormones, and life itself
Alongside my clinical experience, I went on to complete an intensive Health and Life Coaching qualification, continuing to deepen my knowledge in women’s health including Menopause, Endometriosis and how trauma affects the immune system. I remain fully insured, registered, and committed to ongoing professional development
Compass Women’s Wellbeing was created to bring all of this together. It’s a space for women who feel unheard, dismissed, or stuck. A place that recognises that health isn’t one-dimensional, and that there is room for medical, holistic, and lifestyle approaches to exist together
As part of this work, I developed my signature programme, Back to the Present, designed to help women reconnect with themselves, regulate their nervous system, and begin moving forward from a place of awareness rather than overwhelm
Because I know what it feels like to be lost in your own health. And I also know what it takes to find your way back…
